Meetings and Events

There will be three scheduled face-to-face meetings during the course of the year.

June 5th 2018              1 day (London);

November 2018           2 days (London);

June 2019                    1 day (London).

* The first meetup will be at the Friar’s Suite, Novotel in Blackfriars, London on Tuesday, June 5th. The meeting will start at 10am and lunch will be provided at the hotel’s restaurant at 1pm. Light refreshments will be provided during the course of the day and the meeting will finish at 4.30pm. Directions and joining instructions will be sent to participants a week before the meeting. During the morning session participants will be taken through the course structure and given advice on how to complete the various sections. They will also be given a brief tour of the FedEE knowledgebase – which will be a key resource for their studies – and gain an opportunity to meet other participants. The course is at full capacity, with 25 people enrolled. In the afternoon we shall be looking at some key legal issues facing international HR managers. This will include a talk by a leading employment lawyer on the challenge of harmonising HR policies across national borders.

* The second meetup will also take place in London on November 13th and 14th 2018. The venue and speakers are currently being finalised. This part of the course will focus on practical issues relating to such concerns as conducting termination interviews in different jurisdictions and how to brief an external law firm on a matter that could involve future litigation.

* The third meetup will be for one day – again in London. This will take place in June 2019. This will review all the course material and seek to bring it all together into practical applications. During the afternoon session there will be a short presentation ceremony for all those who have gained their Advanced Diplomas.

Your presence at face-to-face meetings is strongly encouraged. If a participant cannot attend a particular meeting then, if necessary, we shall organise an individual webinar or skype session wit their Tutor.
